Brampton Walkers are Welcome have been supporting Brampton Parish Council in the production of a new guided walks booklet.
‘Cobbles to Countryside” re-creates six walks first described by local resident Maureen Granville in 1993 plus two additional ‘new’ walks that take visitors further afield. These eight walks will give visitors to Brampton an introduction to some of the best walking in north Cumbria.
David Moorat, the Chair of Brampton Parish Council writes in the forward:
“The accomplishment of Maureen Granville and her colleagues in opening up paths and producing the original 1993 walk book, Ramblings Around Brampton, was a great achievement for residents and visitors alike … we hope these walks described are enjoyed and remembered for their beauty and tranquility”
The glossy 55 page publication covers route descriptions, maps and lots of historical information that will bring the countryside alive as you walk. It is available to purchase at the Tourist Information Centre in the Moot Hall, Brampton as well as other selected outlets in the town for £3.50
