PIONEERING NEW TRAILS TALK. A presentation by Mark Richards on Wednesday 28th September at Brampton Community Centre at 7.45pm.
Mark Richards from Low Hynam, Castle Carrock, is a full time farmer turned full time outdoor writer. He was a friend of Alfred Wainwright and like him has created numerous walk guides. He began in 1973 with the Cotswold Way and has followed with the North Cornwall Coastal Footpath, the Welsh Borders, the Peak District National Park Hadrian’s Wall, the Lakeland Fellranger series, Open Access Walks in Cumbria and more.
Since 2005 he has had a walk feature on Radio Cumbria and is now working on 3 new trails on the greater Cumbrian and Northumbrian landscape, including the Great Lakes Connection, Eden Castle Walk and Hadrian’s Highway.
