Sunday 11th June. Free Guided Walk.
A Midsummer walk up our highest local mountain. (621m / 2000ft). Distance 7- 8 miles. Moderate pace. 380 metres of ascent. Can be wet, rough and boggy ground but the views are fantastic. On a clear day you can see over to Cross Fell.
Route: over Cold Fell to Brown Fell, down to the Gairs track, return to Clesketts via Howgill. Birds we might see: curlew, lapwing, golden plover, stonechat, whinchat, skylark, reed bunting, meadow pipit.
